At The Wellscene, founded by Iris Louwerens in 2014 was started because a group of friendscraved to live in a world where being active and healthy could go hand in hand with living a full and joyful life. "We got bored of only seeing our friends over a meal or drinks. We figured we weren't alone. Iris started organizing fitness and yoga pop-ups around London to make being active and healthy more sociable and fun.
Why we love them:
The Wellscene pop-ups are more than just a workout. After class they serve a smoothies, wine and beer, so people can hang around a little bit longer and catch up with their friends before calling it a night. With black lights and heart pounding music this is an endorphin-boosting, feel-good evening (without the hangover the next day). To make things extra spectacular, they ask everyone to come in their brightest active wear and even have a DIY neon face paint station!
Daybreaker
Everywhere
Daybreaker is an early morning dance movement in 22 cities around the world and growing. They start with a one hour yoga + fitness experience and then dance with reckless abandon for two hours before work. Sounds like a killer way to start the day!
Why we love them:
These early morning, global parties, take community to the next level. When you attend an event, you feel connected to fellow day breakers around the world, plus they take extra care to make them accessible so that more people can attend. They live by the motto "We come as we are to sweat, dance and connect with ourselves and each other." What could be better?Comments will be approved before showing up.
